She's lying, Ryosei thought to himself unhappily. She's not fine. Something's bugging her...it's probably got something to do with the guy over there...
"Mm-hmm," he replied monotonously, thoughts filling his head.

Audrey smiled sadly and turned her face away from the scene. "You don't believe me do you?" She asked Ryosei. "Of course you don't..." She sighed and sat down on a nearby bench.

Ryosei pushed all the thoughts out of his head and grinned, encouragingly, at Ana-Dreya. She had seated herself on a bench, looking forlorn. Ryosei didn't want to see her looking sad.
"Nah, I believe you," he said. "This place is really starting to fill up..." He looked around. It was true. People were pouring in, music had started up, and the dancers seemed like they would start performing soon. Ryosei sat down next to Ana-Dreya on the bench. "Well, I hope your friend has some assistants, or we're not going to be getting those drinks anytime soon," he said, trying to lighten up the mood.

Audrey laughed. "I have a feeling we aren't gonna get those drinks anytime soon.." she looked around nervously. "you wanna dance or something to pass the time..?"

Ryosei grinned broadly at the suggestion and got to his feet. "Sure! Better than passing the time just sitting, right?"
On the way to the dance floor, he turned his head to Ana-Dreya sheepishly. "I can't dance, by the way. But I guess it shouldn't matter when half the club will be drunk, should it?"

"Of course it won't matter.. I'm not going to judge you for it.. besides.. I can't dance either.." Audrey laughed and pulled Ryosei into the proper danceing postition, taking one of his hands, and wrapping her other arm around his neck. "You know.. someone's really got to develop a less touchy-feely dance than this.." she said with a grin.

Ryosei awkwardly rocked back and forth as best he could, in time to the music. I am SO rythmically challenged!
He blushed slightly at Ana-Dreya's comment. "I don't know," he replied. "I kind of like this one." He looked down at her, an awkward yet mischeivous grin spreading across his face.

Audrey lips pressed together, trying to avoid grinning as she raised an eyebrow. "Do you now..?" His face suddenly appeared different, and she turned her face to one side, attempting to avoid the looks he was giving her. "I..I never thought you would by the kind of person to appreciate a dance such as this one.." she said, stumbling closer to him in a clumsy attempt to avoid a bottom-slap from a rowdy patron parading around the room. "uhm.. sorry.." she stammered.

"Well, I suppose it all depends on who you're dancing with, doesn't it?" Ryosei replied. His grin continued.
"I'll tell you what," he said. "When the band plays something a little more jumpy, you can show me what kind of dance you like. Deal?"

"Th-This is the kind of dance I like.." Audrey blushed, biting her lower lip gently.
'Dammit.. what's wrong with you.. anyone'd think you were in..' the train of thought stopped. 'Let's not go there' she thought to herself. She'd had similar feelings before, but she had been hurt by loved ones before. It was better not to think these things in the first place.

"Well then, you're happy, I'm happy, we're both happy," he smiled. "I'm glad I ran into you at the gardens...Mother knows what I'd be doing now if I hadn't."
Actually, he knew exactly what he'd be doing. Sitting at some inn, bored out of his brains, still trying to get his pathetic magick skills to work correctly. "I definitely wouldn't be having any fun."

Audrey grinned. "I'm glad too.. It's been a phenomenal few hours... I'd still be in a daze in the gardens if we hadn't run into each other.. and knowing that place, by morning I'd be a crystalline form too.. "
The music began to fade out, signalling the end of the song and the start of a short break.

As the song ended, Ryosei saw a couple of shot glasses sitting on the counter. Perhaps the barmistress had left them there for them? He wasn't sure, but nobody else was paying attention to them. He gestured towards them.
"I think our drinks are ready," he said to Ana-Dreya. He was glad. The last dance had been a little awkward. Then again, the first dance always is...

"mmm.." groaned Audrey, pushing her shoulders back after beginning to feel slightly stiff after keeping them in the same position for that period of time. She moved to the glasses and picked them up, handing one of them to Ryosei. "..drink it slowly.. it's quite strong, but it's the best shot to be found in these parts.."
She sipped at hers; every sip burning her throat. The light-headedness returned and she was soon giggling like a schoolgirl.

Ryosei glanced at the shot glass in his hands. Do I want to enjoy the drink? he pondered. He wasn't really fond of the taste of alcohol, truth be told. Or do I just want to get the effects of it? The mischeivous grin returned to his face. He tipped the glass and poured the contents down his throat...all at once...
Dropping the drink to the counter, he turned. The drink had hit him MUCH harder than he thought it would. The bar was so much brighter, so much more lively...so much more FUN! The drink still burnt his throat, but at least he had gotten what he wanted...the loss of any feelings of guilt or pride.
He was ready to party.
