The bouncer stood at the door. He didn't like this job, you know. He hadn't really *wanted* to be a bouncer. He'd rather have been...an actor! He struck a pose, and was about to launch into the first line of the oh-so-very-famous-play ('Mother, your echidna is too large for my head!') when people started arriving. Hastily, he resumed his bouncer-like stance, and put on 'that' face. Gruffly, he began checking everyones invitations...
The brightly lit sign of the club shone and flashed in the darkness: [glow=green,2,300]Sephira NU[/glow]
Inside, everything was in order. Seraphita sat in one of the back rooms, with Phire, Sin and Mocha. She played with her hair thoughtfully. Tonight was the night.

Phire tugged at her ruffled collar. She wasn't accustomed to having so many clothes on at the same time. She was hot, and uncomfortable, and was feeling the worse for it. "Can't this evening just hurry up?" muttered the whore, twisting the fabric of her gown around her index finger. She picked up her mask. Golden, to match with the crimson gown, decorated with tiny fragments of red-coloured crystal. Arranged into patterns which resembled the element of her name.
***
Outside, a woman stood, staring blankly at the door of the club. The green bulbs of the sign flashed monotonously, proclaiming: [glow=green,2,300]Sephira NU[/glow] She lowered her head and produced the invitation from the bosom of her gown, handing it to the bouncer. He inspected it slowly and let his eyes fall upon the woman. "You may enter.. Seraphita is waiting." She nodded, and, adjusting the mask upon her face she picked up her skirts and sauntered into the club...

Seraphita lifted her head and glanced at Phire. "Shush, young lady...you look fantastic, really good..." "mmm" agreed Sin, who was dolled up to the nines in a corset of emrald green, and a partially see through mauve skirt to match. Her mask was something like a peacocks tail feathers "You look really great....slim..."
------------------------------------ Various others had begun to mill around outside the club, gawping at the apparent high activity inside. A girl in a sky blue gown, with a pearl mask sauntered past, her long golden hair for once, not in a braid, but loose and beaded with thousands of pearl seeds, and blue glass beads. She handed her invitation to the bouncer, and smiled bewitchingly "May I enter...pleaaaaaaaase?"

Phire snorted. She hated clothing. When she was young her mother accused her of being a nudist.. which was true of course.. but she never thought that she'd come to hate them so much. On the other hand, she WAS a prostitute, and weren't they supposed to be scantily clad int he first place? Phire shrugged. "At least you're not fully covered up Sin-ny.. How I'd prefer to be dressed like you.."
Phire opened the satin curtains just wide enough to see the ballroom filling up with people, and wondered if tonight was really as Seraphita had promised. "..the night.."

Facing the flashing green sign, a man smiled under his mask. He had been here before, and was eager to get re-acquainted with the place. He had no idea why the invitation had been delivered to him. Perhaps it was for the previous owner of the room he had stayed in for the last few days. Whatever, he thought. If whoever this was meant to go to can't enjoy this, I might as well enjoy it for him.
The elf was wearing a simple red sleeveless silk shirt. Brand new, and pretty much all he could afford. He made a point of cleaning his black pants and polishing his boots so they were almost unrecognisable. He had left his gloves at the inn, deciding they were probably not the best in fashion sense. Instead of his usual unruly hairstyle, he had tied it into a neat ponytail, his shocking blue fringe tied back painfully so it seemed nothing more than a single thick blue lock across one side of his head, in extreme contrast to the blackness that coloured the rest of his hair.
Showing his invitation to the gruff-looking bouncer, he stepped inside the familiar bar...

"Tell me again why I have to wear this....thing," Mika looked himself up and down, /I look like some sort of hired help.../, he was in a smart suit, he pulled open the black jacket and stared disgusted at the white shirt underneath, "Why do you people wear these things?"
"Come on," said a voice on the other side of the wall, "I bet you look great."
/I look like a fool/ he checked the inside pocket of the jacket, "I look like a fool!"
"If you don't wear it then you can't come to the party!" The voice shouted, it belonged to Matthias Reims, who was busy looking for an outfit of his own.
The door to the stall swung open, "Where does it actually say that I have to look like a penguin?"
"It says," Clearing his throat he read the letter, " wear a 'costume, which can be as simple as a mask to cover your face, or as elaborate as a new dress, or suit...though the mask remains mandatory.'"
"That explains why I have become a penguin? It says masks are apt enough, I shall then go in a mask, but I will not attend as this! Look at these..." he pointed at his shoes, "Why in all glory do I have to wear these?" Mika had never worn shoes up until this point, the one pleasure he had in life, in this form, was the fact that he could feel the gentle changes in terrain, not many people appreciate the texture change of sand to grass like he does, technically the ground is the only thing that doesn't piss him right off, "I do not wear these..."
Matthias' eyes bulged, "You do when you go out on the town with me my friend!"
Rolling his eyes Mika wondered how Matthias had even convinced him into going to this party, he just wasn't the social type, "I'm not going..."
"WHAT!? But...come on guy, we have to...we have invitations," he waved them both up in a vain attempt to make something clicked, "For me bud?"
Narrowing his eyes the assassin smirked, "I hope this tells thee, thy answer to that inane comment," He threw the jacket to the floor and re-entered the stall to get changed again.
Matthias knocked on the door repeatedly, "Come on, you have to go, if not for me then for yourself," a 'pah!' from the other side answered that, "Ooooooookay so you don't particularly like yourself no big...erm do it for the pirates!" another 'pah', it finally clicked, Matthias lent nonchalantly against another stall door, "for Kaori and V?"
Silence.
The door opened and a half-dressed Mika walked out, "Alright...but one thing, I choose what I wear agreed?"
Matthias smiled, "Whatever you say, just pick it quick, we should have been there an hour ago."

Kaori walked towards the bar, she'd been there a couple of times before. She reached the bouncer and showed he invitation. She stepped in and took in the surroundings, and all the people in their costumes. She herself was wearing a long, elegant red dress that swirled around her legs. It sparkled with gold at the edges. Her two red straps were studded with sapphires, and her mask was decorated with colorful feathers of many a bird. Her hair hung around her shoulders, curling at the tips.
'What fun will be stirring up tonight?' she asked herself.

Half an hour later and they were outside the building, Matthias' eyes were like that of a child, he had been waiting for an opportune moment to attend such a place, he looked down at his blue silken shirt, the only new thing he bought, it wasn't because he couldn't afford anything else, just why improve on perfection. Over it all he wore Mika's long black trench coat, for the shear novelty value of it all, the Spirite hardly wore it anyway, "Why is it so dirty?" he asked while straightening the navy blue mask that covered three-quarters of his face.
"Tis not dirty, tis ash and sulphur...I had a run in with some men and had to use mine powers when I last wore it...what is so special anent this building?" Some guests looked at Mika sternly.
"It's a brothel..."
"WHAT?!" The same guests looked at him again.
"Well not really, but there's this really cute girl, Phire, oh boy, you'd like her," He looked Mika up and down, "You being you know....affiliated with it an’ all," nodding at the small flame that had been following Mika around for the past twenty minutes, "What's with it?"
Mika looked at the flare, "It just.....wishes to be near me, it became bored as a conglomerate of fire....and t’as never met someone who can...channel the flame...." He looked at it warily not that he minded the company, fire did not have as many inane comments to make as humans did.
They walked up to the bouncer-cum-actor, he looked Matthias up and down, "Invitation?"
"Sure!" He showed it off with a huge grin, "Hey didn't I see you in a play sometime ago," the bouncer beamed, "No wait...you don't look the acting type."
Back to his disgruntled self the bouncer allowed Matthias in. Mika stepped up and handed over his letter, the bouncer scanned it and then looked at Mika, then at his overly long ebony cloak, with a rather sharp, stiff collar, than at the ebon scarf that gave him an air of mystery as it covered his the lower half of his face, just allowing his tattoo to peak over the top of it, "I need to see under that cloak."
It was a fair point Mika thought he could have weapons under it, raising his right arm he revealed his attire, a very crimson and very see through top, a blackened pair tight leather pants and finally a pair of new, polished pull-on boots (Matthias had insisted that he buy them). It was basically his hunting garments but with shoes.
The bouncer was somewhat impressed, he looked at the scarf, “What are you supposed to be? An assassin?”<br> Mika noted the irony and smiled, well he did only no one could tell, “Thou mightst never know...” Thanking the Ethereal for finishing this conversation he began to walk inside
Remembering the rules the bouncer stepped in his way, “It’s a nice scarf and all but a mask is supposed to be the accessory of the hour. Do you have an actual mask?” On cue Mika pulled out of his cloak, as if by magic, a simple black mask with a dark red flame spreading out from the center to the far edges of each eye, he donned it accordingly and made his way inside, but not before being stopped again, “You can’t take that...thing inside,” the faux-bouncer warned indicating the little following flame.
Mika looked at the spark, then at the bouncer, “Dost thou wish to under take the task of ejecting fire?” with that he was able to finally enter the building.

Kaori walked around the room, trying to look for someone she knew, which was hard, seeing as everyone was wearing a mask, concealing their identity. She sighed, for she spotted no one. She slumped her shoulders a bit, and flicked her shiny black hair behind her shoulders. How was she to have fun if she knew no one?
'I knew I should have come with someone...' she said.

The young woman twirled around, trying to take in her surroundings in one go. She lifted her deep blue dress off the ground, the copper coloured glass beads on the hem just touching the floor. She spotted a familiar face in the crowd and grinned. "Darlin'!" She cried out, running unsteadily towards V and kissed her cheek. "When did you arrive?"

Slither sat in a corner, trying to keep away from the general social hubbub of the crowd. He wasn't good in company, and when the company was doing something upper class he was even worse. So he avoided socialising as a rule. He had only come to the night because the strange invitation he had recieved was so intriuging. Finding a costume had been the hardest part of coming. He had eventually given up in despair and grabbed what he could from his chest, putting together a black cloak lined with red, a set of dark pants, his usual black gloves, and a wide brimmed black hat that he had stolen from a passing soldier. He may have looked the part of a moody assassin with little dress sense, but his dark costume served a useful purpose - it made people leave him alone.

The girl with the long golden hair had slipped past the bouncer without so much as a second glance. She pocketed her invitation, and gazed about her. Hundreds of people, most of which she didn't know. She tried to find a familiar face amongst the crowd, but then realised the entire point was, you couldn't see their faces. She sighed, and walked into the thick of the mass of people...maybe she could at least find a drink... Suddenly, she bumped head long into a tall man in a blue silk shirt, and a black trenchcoat...the mask over his eyes didn't allow her to indentify him. "Oh...erm...sorry..." she muttered, bobbing down in apology as was the custom for people from the more...proper background. She raised her eyes to him again, hoping he wasn't angry...or worse, anyone she knew.
------------------ Sin poked her head around the curtain with Phire. "Wow...looks like quite a collection of people ne ne Phireeeyyyy?". Sin licked her lips, painted an emerald green for the occasion. "Can't wait to get out there, c'mon lets gooooo!" and with that, she dragged Phire into the area... Seraphita made a face. "Girls girls girls...make an entrance...poised...calm...collected..." she muttered.

zenzetra wondered if he should go or not. he remembered talking to the bird that flew him the invitation and he said it would be a blast.
he also remembered doing a recovery mission around that area and saw the building under construction.
"i never know what to do at a party, with myself i am alone, then there are the perks like free food," he was always a fanatic about various food, "but, there is always that creaping fealing that one gets while standing in a corner hiding from the party," then he remembered a girl of which he hadn't seen in ages, a beutifull girl who he spent two days and a night with, at the amazing garden of saphire then to the restauraunt, then to a cave.
"i'll do it, she might be there..." he concentrated on an animal form, a wolf, then takeing a drink from a bottle he went it. *the bottle is a potion he received from a witch which enabled him to speek in animal form* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
he walked in face concieled with a mask and dressed in a blue tunnic.
he looked almost-franticaly for the girl he had dreamed of, thinking she was a no show he sat down on a bench in the center of the floor and untransformed, hoping the tunnic would hide his transforming abilities, then he took off the mask and set it to the side.
he meditated for a while till he saw his vision.
she is here, in green... light green... bright green.
