Name: Ryosei Zealotes
Age: Twenty-Two
Gender: Male
Marital status: Single
Race: Elven
Class: Struggling Mage
Pirate or S.E.A corps: S.E.A corps
Eyes: Ryosei's eyes are bright green in colour. They aren't particularly large on his face, but they give him a sort of innocent appearance. His eyes reflect his personality: cheerful.
Hair: Although Ryosei does shave, he tends to leave his black hair as-is, only cutting it when it reaches his shoulders. His fringe and eyebrows are tinted bright blue, something he cannot explain. As he leaves his hair mostly unattended, it is wild and in no particular style, apart from his blue fringe which for some reason retains the same length and style no matter how long it is left.
Facial Features: Ryosei's only facial feature that would differentiate him from the rest would be his blue eyebrows.
Height and Build: Ryosei is about 5'10" in height. He has a slender build and isn't particularly muscular. He tends to rely more on his speed and co-ordination rather than on his strength.
Style: When not wearing his S.E.A. corps uniform, Ryosei wears a dark-blue, sleeveless shirt made from silk. Beneath his belt he wears dusty-brown, cargo-like pants. The deep pockets in his pants are ideal for holding all sorts of items: vials, notes, money, you name it. He wears dark brown boots when on the streets and in stores. Black, fingerless gloves assist him when he needs to get a good grip on something. His favourite article of clothing, however, is easily his dragon-skin coat. It is very lightweight, like the rest of his clothing, which assists him when he needs to make a quick escape. The scales on the exterior of the coat are extremely hard and placed close together, making a sneak attack from behind useless. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer anywhere near as much protection from the front. His coat also serves another purpose: Concealing his blade and throwing knives. Dressed like this, you wouldn’t even know he was part of the corps…<br>
Weapon/s: Ryosei isn’t particularly fond of close combat, due to his less-muscular build. However, when the situation does arise, Ryosei pulls a middle-length blade to defend himself until he can put some distance between himself and his foe. At his preferred range, Ryosei uses his crossbow. His speed and co-ordination make him deadly at a distance. When not in uniform, his crossbow becomes too troublesome to conceal in his coat, so he opts for throwing knives instead. As a struggling Mage, he also attempts some magic. However, these are hardly his strong point and seem to blow up in his face often.
History: Ryosei Zealotes was raised in the Forests of Flidhaiis’ by his parents, Rumm and Branndi Zealotes. Ryosei enjoyed Elven living, wearing Elven clothes and supporting Elven tradition. He especially adored his parents, who had taught him everything he knew.
Unlike other elves, Ryosei started his magick training much later than usual. He never seemed to be around when the other elves were training. When his friends looked for him, they always found him in the same place: at the water pool. For some reason, Ryosei adored water. He loved it much more than the other elves. He found it fascinating: It disappeared on hot days, turned hard on the cold ones, and he never COULD get over the fact that he could see himself in it. The water pool was his most favourite place in the entire forest.
When he finally started his training, his friends were so much more advanced than he was that he found it hard to pay attention. He was still making smoke rings while they were sending fireballs across the sky. His mentor didn’t help either: he was tearfully boring. When he should have been concentrating on his spells, Ryosei would daydream about water. He imagined vast amounts of it, everywhere you could see, where you could swim all day long to your hearts content. Needless to say, he didn’t get very far with magick.
It was when he was in his late teens that Ryosei got the feeling. Something seemed to be calling him. Out of the forest, into a whole New World. The call seemed to get stronger and stronger, as the days passed by. Ryosei pretended not to feel it. He went for years ignoring the call. He was curious about what was outside the forest, but he continued to ignore it. He loved the forest, and could not imagine a place he could love even more. But the call went on, getting stronger and stronger.
Then, one day, it finally became unbearable. He bid farewell to his friends, who wished him good luck on his journeys. His parents, however, were far less thrilled, warning Ryosei that if he left, he would never be welcome back to their home. Torn and heartbroken, Ryosei opted to leave his parents, and the forest.
