Name: Lai Anraell Ku ((meaning: everlasting eternal spring))
Alias: Lai, Laisy

Race: Human
Class: Mage
Pirate or S.E.A corps: S.E.A Corps
Eyes: A light, medow-green, somewhat in rememberence of springtime.
Hair: Long and a pallid, goldey yellow. Often tied back in a very long braid.
Facial Features: Pouty, rose-pink lips, and well defined cheek bones. She has no scars to speak of, and when is embarrased her cheeks tend to flush.
Height and Build: about 5'6", and moderate build.
Style: Lai usually wears a combination of the S.E.A corps uniform (royal blue and white bathing costume, little navy jacket, navy/white skirt, navy hat etc) or her 'civvies'which include a beige and white gold off the shoulder shirt with gold lining and a corset style lace up front, and beige and spring-green pantaloons, sometimes with a shawl draped around by way of skirt. She's a bit raggedy really.
Weapon/s: Her jade and oak staff.
History: Lai grew up on the earth continant, in a picturesque fishing village named Mha'amet. She wasn't really 'meant for the sea', being herself more interested in the land, and the forests and fields, but was drawn to the sea because of her father (whom she doted upon) whose whole being *was* the sea. Her father loved the sea, and often went out on his boat, The Paridiso for weeks on end fishing and trading and simply messing about upon the ocean. Lai would wait on the crest of the cliff, and watch his ship come and go, eagerly anticipating his tales of the ocean, when he returned. One day, he did not return. Neither did his crew, nor The Paridiso.
In her fathers will, it was written that Zachriel Ku's wish was that his daughter would train to be a master of the ocean, sailing with as much skill as any man alive. it was Lai's own choice to enroll in the Corps Academy, to learn to sail and manage a ship, and in turn keep the waters safe from scum like those who had no doubt overseen the demise of her father and his crew.
And so, Lai left home, at eleven years of age, and enrolled in the junior corps, soon graduating ahead of her class, with honors, and joining the main Corps academy, specialising in Magery, and ship management.
It wasn't long before Lai was given captainship of The Blue Victory, the primary Corps ship, to see to the demise of the pirates who terrorised the eight oceans.
However, Lai was evidently not cut out for captaincy, just yet. She suffered many mistakes and faults along the way, and was removed from her position on the Blue Victory. Disgraced, she left her crew and her ship, and went away for a long while, into the mountains and valleys and forests of the world - away from the sea altogether.
However....this time, this place...she returns to the docks and quays, ready to take up again the thing that she loves and hates..
ready to confront the sea.
Personality: Lai is headstrong and very set in her ways and opinions. She will not bow down to authority, but is ready to admitt when she is wrong.
Other useless facts that wouldn't fit anywhere else: she has earings! many of them! and she is pretty, and can sing prettily, yes! >D
